RAS workshop added to the European Aquaculture Society AE2020
The European Aquaculture Society (EAS) AE2020 event is taking place online April 13-15 2021.
On April 12 EAS is organising a full day special event [email protected] To complement the science presented in the parallel sessions of the AE conference, [email protected] looks to take a different approach with the emphasis on bringing together key figures from science and industry to focus on key issues, present the latest knowledge and share experience with different species and systems.
The first [email protected] event is entitled 'Creating an Optimal Environment'. There will be three panel discussions will address key questions related to this:
- Session 1: How do we best approach disinfection? Moderated by Jaap van Rijn of The Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat (IUI), Israel and with introductory presentation by Chris Good of The Conservation Fund Freshwater Institute, USA.
- Session 2: Where are we going with monitoring & autonomy? Moderated by Øyvind Fylling-Jensen of Nofima, Norway and with introductory presentation by Bård Skjelstad of ScaleAQ, Norway.
- Session 3: What are the most challenging interactions between fish & RAS environment? Moderated by Damien Toner of Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), Ireland and with introductory presentation by Jelena Kolarevic of UiT The Arctic University of Norway/ Nofima, Norway.
